BW LPG is an investment holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is primarily engaged in ship owning and chartering businesses. Co. is focused on the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas products for international and national oil companies, as well as trading and utility companies. Co.'s fleet operates on a combination of spot voyages, contracts of affreightment and time charters. Co. conducts its operations in two business segments: Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs) and Large Gas Carriers (LGCs). As of Feb 8 2017, Co. owned and operated 55 VLGCs and LGCs including 2 VLGC newbuildings, with a total carrying capacity of 4.5 million cubic meter.
