eREX is mainly engaged in the renewable energy business for realization of a low-carbon society. Co. operates electricity business from upper stream to downstream including fuel, power generation, trading and retail businesses. Co. procures wooden pellets and Palm Kernel Shell ("PKS") as main fuels of biomass power generation for use in its biomass power stations located in Kochi, Fukuoka, Okinawa and Iwate prefectures, Japan, as well as selling to customers. Co. supplies electricity to office buildings, plant and hospitals, as well as small-scale factories and home consumers. Co. is also engaged in the development of new biomass fuels to enlarge the total amount of fuel procurement.
