Sunhydrogen is developing a solar-powered nanoparticle system that mimics photosynthesis to separate hydrogen from water. Co.'s product, SunHydrogen Panel™, is comprised of the following components: the generator housing, which houses the water, and the solar particles/cells and is designed with inlets and outlets for water and gasses; the nanoparticle or solar cell, which splits apart water at the molecular level; oxygen evolution catalyst, which is applied onto the solar cell or nanoparticle and oxidize water molecule to generate oxygen gas; hydrogen evolution catalyst, which collects electrons to reduce protons for generating hydrogen gas; and coating technologies.
