Pargesa Holding is active in various industry and service sectors through its holdings in a number of operating companies. Co.'s portfolio at Dec 31 2009 was concentrated in six major holdings: Imerys, Suez, GDF SUEZ, Suez Environnement, Lafarge and Pernod Ricard. Co.'s business is subdivided into two segments: Holdings and Imerys. The main purpose of the Holdings segment is the management of investments. The Imerys segment comprises the Imerys group, which activities are divided into four business groups: Minerals for Ceramics, Refractories, Abrasives and Foundry; Performance Minerals and Filtration; Pigments for Paper and Materials and Monolithics.
