QKL Stores is a regional supermarket chain that operates supermarkets, hypermarkets and department stores. Co.'s supermarkets carry merchandise in three categories: grocery, which includes prepared or packaged foods, bulk grains, bottled water and beverages, and cigarettes; fresh food, which includes raw and cooked meats, seafood, bakery items, noodles and pastas, milk, yogurt, and eggs, and packaged dumplings; and non-food items, which includes clothing and shoes, books and stationery, bedding and home furnishings, electronics and household use items. As of Dec 31 2015, Co. operated 25 supermarkets, 16 hypermarkets and four department stores in northeastern China and Inner Mongolia.
