Sachem Capital is a real estate finance company that focuses on originating, underwriting, funding, servicing and managing a portfolio of short-term loans secured by first mortgage liens on real property located primarily in Connecticut. Each loan is guaranteed by the principal(s) of the borrower, which guaranty is typically collaterally secured by a pledge of the guarantor's interest in the borrower. Co.'s borrower use the proceeds for one of three purposes: to acquire and/or renovate existing residential (single-, two- or three-family) real estate properties; to acquire vacant real estate and construct residential real properties; and to purchase and hold income producing properties.
