Toei Animation is mainly engaged in the planning, production and sale of animation for theaters and televisions. Co. operates in three principal business segments. Film segment is engaged in the production of animation works of mainly television series; the sale of licensing rights of package media such as DVD software; and the provision of broadband distribution and mobile contents services. Licensing segment provides character licenses of Co.'s works to licensee (manufacturer) and expanding character merchandises such as toys. Goods Sales segment is engaged in the sale of character products. In addition, Co. plans and operates various events such as character shows and musicals.
