AU Optronics is a provider of optoelectronic solutions. Co. provides a range of display applications and smart solutions integrating software and hardware. Co. has two operating segments: display and energy. The display segment generally is engaged in the research, development, design, manufacturing and sale of flat panel displays and most of its products are TFT-LCD panels. The energy segment primarily is engaged in the design, manufacturing and sale of ingots, solar wafers and solar modules, as well as providing technical engineering services and maintenance services for solar system projects.
