Holmen is a forest industry company. Co. has five business areas. Co.'s Holmen Paper business area manufactures printing paper for magazines, product catalogues, direct mail, books, daily newspapers and telephone directories. Co.'s Iggesund Paperboard business area produces paperboard for consumer packaging and graphical printing. Co.'s Holmen Timber business area produces sawn timber. Co.'s Holmen Skog business area manages Co.'s forests. Co.'s Holmen Energi business area is responsible for Co.'s hydro and wind power assets and for developing Co.'s operations in the energy sector. Holmen Skog and Holmen Energi are also responsible for supplying Co. with wood and electricity in Sweden.
