IBIDEN is mainly engaged in the electronics-related business. Along with its subsidiaries and associated companies, Co. operates in two principal business segments. Electronics segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of printed wiring boards (PWBs) and IC package substrates. Ceramics segment offers environment-related ceramics such as diesel particulate filter, automobile exhaust system parts, ceramic honeycomb and high temperature insulting wool, and graphite specialty products. In addition, Co. is engaged in the design and construction of slopes, garden landscape and environmental facilities; the manufacture and sale of housing equipment and melamine decorative laminates.
