Co. operates under an Agency Model in 15 states where it sells both its own underwritten insurance policies and those issued by third-party insurers. Acceptance Insurance sells non-standard personal automobile insurance written solely through independent agents. It also offers a variety of other commissionable third-party products, such as roadside assistance and, in most states, it also sells an insurance product for renters that it underwrites.
